A 4-week course for families with babies aged 0 to crawling confidently.

Our relaxed classes are easy to follow and the massage strokes are reviewed each week. The sessions include time for informal parent discussion.

We welcome babies to be babies, so please do not be concerned about class times coinciding with sleep or feed times, or your baby crying.

 LEVEL 1 

For families with babies from 12 weeks from their due date (when they have gained good head control) to crawling confidently.

Our relaxed classes are easy to follow and our positions and moves are reviewed each week. The sessions include time for informal parent discussion and refreshments will be available. 

 

Level 1 includes gentle body strokes, mini twists and stretches, swings and dips, singing and rhymes, massage and relaxation, stretching the whole body and helping your baby to experience different body positions. The postures and positions used help to provide flexibility, beneficial stretching, improve muscle tone and coordination. They are practised to songs to develop baby’s sense of rhythm and promote language development and communication between mother and baby.

 LEVEL 2 

For families with babies from 6 month - 18 months.

Level 2 sessions include more advanced yoga moves and stretches for parents/carers and their babies. Our class involves massage, movement and stretches, swings and lifts for baby, alongside playful songs and rhymes. Towards the end of the session, time and space is offered as an opportunity for parents and babies to relax together.

The use of touch in Baby Yoga also helps to create a happy secure trusting relationship between mother and baby and can support early bonding. The release of endorphins in both mother and baby’s body can help to promote relaxation and improve both their physical and emotional wellbeing.
