Baby Yoga

The focus of baby yoga is on wellbeing and on the mutual enjoyment of babies and their parents through playful interaction and non-verbal communication. It perfectly complements baby massage, expanding the benefits of touch with those of movement and relaxation. The use of touch in baby yoga also helps to create a happy secure trusting relationship between mother and baby and can help in bonding. The release of endorphins in both mother and baby’s body can help to promote relaxation and improve both their physical and emotional wellbeing. Relaxation at the end of the class is important and allows the chance to meet other new parents.

What is Baby Yoga

Baby yoga is a gentle group that helps you to recognise your baby’s cues and respond to their needs. Moves are introduced for baby and mum, along with fun songs to aid the release of tension and stress in the body and to calm the mind.

Our relaxed classes are easy to follow and our positions and moves are reviewed each week. The sessions include time for informal parent discussion and refreshments will be available.

We welcome babies to be babies, so please do not be concerned about class times coinciding with sleep or feed times, or your baby crying.
